Ridgefield has six elementary schools: Barlow Mountain Elementary School, Branchville Elementary School, Farmingville Elementary School; Ridgebury Elementary School, Scotland Elementary School and Veterans Park Elementary School; two middle schools: East Ridge Middle School and Scotts Ridge Middle School; and one high school: Ridgefield High School. Also on the property is the Founders Hall Senior Citizen Center and the Sky’s the Limit fully accessible playground. Ridgefield open space encompasses about 5,200 acres – nearly one -quarter of the town’s area.
